House of Braulio Morales

After a fire that occurred in February 1990, this building was demolished the following July, which was erected and served as his residence by the wealthy capitalist and coffee businessman, the Heredian Don Braulio Morales Cervantes (1824-1898) . After many years, different people were the owners of the house and by 1924 the house was rented, and the Club Sport Herediano was there for many years, even on the south side it was the headquarters from 1943 and until 1948, the first office premises that the Costa Rican Social Security Fund had in Heredia. By a 1983 law this house was declared a Relic of Historical and Architectural Interest; but the fire of 1990 required a costly investment for its reconstruction, which is why it was rather completely demolished.
